US $12,000 to $14,000 for military deregistration: a group of people detained in Dnipro
Those involved, having connections in the district territorial centers of recruitment and social support, promised to help citizens with avoiding conscription.
For a certain reward, the defendants resolved the issue of recognizing a person unfit for service in wartime with subsequent removal from the military record. The cost of such a “service” in various TCCs ranged from 12,000 to 14,000 US dollars.
Law enforcement officers simultaneously detained two defendants while receiving illegal benefits, which were later planned to transfer to officials of two district territorial centers of staffing and social support.
Under the procedural guidance of the Specialized Prosecutor's Office in the Field of Defense of the Eastern Region, the dealers were informed of the suspicion under Part 2 of Art. 369-2 (Abuse of influence) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The issue of choosing preventive measures for them is being resolved.
Further measures are being carried out to collect the evidence base and bring to justice the TCC employees involved in the corruption scheme.
