Police explosives defused one of the most dangerous explosive devices - ball shrapnel aerial bombs SHOAB-0.5, weighing 400 grams each.
The elimination of such bombs is complicated by the fact that it is impossible to predict the location of some mechanisms inside the device. And there is no single instruction on demining.
Such air bombs are used by aviation. One RBK-500 cartridge contains 565 SHAB-0.5 ball bombs and has a large area of damage.
The explosives were defused by a group of police officers of the Explosive Service of the Luhansk Police, which are part of the consolidated unit of the National Police Explosives Service.
According to law enforcement officials, the experience gained will necessarily be useful to the police when mining the de-occupied territories, in particular Luhansk region.
