Explosion of oil pipeline in the Carpathians: criminal proceedings started
Police officers, forensic specialists and explosives technicians continue to work in the Nadvirnyansky district. They establish the circumstances and cause of the ignition.
Currently, the police are conducting an additional inspection of the scene, removing material evidence. A number of examinations have already been appointed.
The investigative department of the Nadvirnyansk district police department opened a pre-trial investigation on the grounds of a criminal offense provided for under Part 3 of Art. 292 (Damage to objects of main or industrial oil, gas, condensate pipelines and oil product pipelines). The investigation continues.
Recall that the leakage of oil to the local stream, which is in the forest mass, occurred as a result of depressurization of the pipeline. As a result of the fire, five people with burns were hospitalized in hospitals. They are two children - 11 and 8 years old, and three adults - 35, 39 and 58 years old.
