He got out of the grave of his brothers: policemen installed Russian military men who shot civilians
Police officers of the Chernihiv region reported the suspicion of murder to two Russian servicemen.
As established by law enforcement officers, on March 18, 2022 in Chernihiv region, during the occupation of one of the settlements, a group of armed Russian military broke into the house of locals with a search.
The inhabitants of the house are three brothers. One of them is a past member of the ATO/OOO. So, after discovering the military uniform of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Russians beat the brothers with examples and threatened to shoot them.
The men were tied up, put bags and shackles on their heads, placed in the BTR and transported to the territory of the local farm. There they were imprisoned in one of the premises for four days and tortured. The men were kept in a small room without proper conditions with their hands and eyes bound.
On March 21, as a result of interrogation of one of the brothers, the occupier forced the elder brother of the family to confess to burning Russian military equipment with beatings.
After that, the commander of the Russian military group ordered one of his subordinates Denis Podgorny and others to shoot all three brothers. The identity of the commander was established by the police, this is the chief of the military police of the district, Colonel Konstantin Smirnov.
The occupiers in the trunk of the car took the civilian men into a forest strip, kneeled them in front of the dug pit and shot them. After that, the bodies were dumped in a pit and buried. One of the brothers, Nikolai, survived and got out of the pit on his own.
Law enforcement officers informed two Russian servicemen about the suspicion of mistreatment of civilians, combined with premeditated murder committed by a previous conspiracy of a group of persons.
The investigation established that the servicemen of the “Center” group of troops of the Russian Federation were in the occupied territory from February 28 to April 1, 2022.
Konstantin Smirnov and Denis Podgorny are suspected of committing the crime provided for in Part 2 of Article 28 and Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (Violation of the laws and customs of war, combined with premeditated murder, by a preliminary conspiracy by a group of persons).
For what he committed, the Russian occupiers are threatened with life imprisonment.
