Stabbed a man at a bus stop: Kyiv operatives detained the suspect
During the conflict, the offender inflicted a wound on the victim in the abdomen and fled. In a few days, law enforcement officers found the attacker and informed him of the suspicion. For his actions, he faces up to eight years in prison.
The Kiev police received a message from doctors that at the public transport stop on Krasnaya Kalina Avenue they were assisting a man with a knife wound in the abdomen. Patrol police officers, as well as the investigative and operational team of the Desnya Police Department immediately went to the scene to establish the circumstances of the incident.
During the first measures, it was found out that the victim and his friend were riding in a trolleybus, where they had a conflict with the passenger. Subsequently, leaving at one stop, the men continued a verbal altercation, during which the offender took out a knife and hit one of the comrades with him. Doctors hospitalized the man to a hospital with a stab wound to the abdomen.
Criminal investigation officers of the Desnya Police Department and the head of operations involved employees of the criminal analysis sector before the discovery of this crime and with their help established the identity of the probable suspect. He turned out to be a local resident, born in 1966. During two days of search activities, the police detained a Kiev resident in Solomianskyi district, and at his place of residence they searched and seized the probable instrument of the crime — a knife.
