“Your financial account has been added”: cyber police warn of fraudulent scheme
Attackers spread messages through the WhatsApp messenger about adding a financial account and receiving large amounts of funds to it. The messages contain links to websites controlled by fraudsters, upon switching to which the system asks you to log in and enter payment data.
The relevant information can be used by attackers to access victims' online banking and empty their accounts.
Cyberpolice reminds you how not to become a victim of phishing scammers:
• do not follow unknown and suspicious links;
• do not enter personal information and bank card data on such sites;
• ignore messages from strangers sent in sms messages, messengers, emails, as well as phone calls in which you are informed about big winnings;
• block users who send you such messages, as well as file a complaint with the moderators of the respective messenger.
