In Kharkiv region, rescuers eliminated 14 fires caused by enemy shelling in a day
During the day from August 10 to 11, the rescuers of the Kharkiv garrison of the State Emergency Service continued to perform their duties in wartime conditions.
In total, rescuers made 23 operational sorties during the day, of which 14 to eliminate fires caused by military actions.
The village of Cirkuny, Kharkiv district, suffered the most from enemy attacks, where 12 fires occurred during the day. 10 of them occurred during massive artillery shelling in the period from 11:00 to 14:00, another 2 — at 17:04. 9 outbuildings, 2 garages, a residential building and a store were burned. Thanks to the operational work of rescuers in the village, 9 private residential buildings, 5 outbuildings and 1 hotel complex were saved from destruction by fire. There are no previous casualties.
In the village of Pechenegi, Chuguev district, the shelling of ammunition by the occupiers caused 2 fires in natural ecosystems. Coniferous litter burned in a forest area of 1 hectare and dry grass in an open area on an area of 400 sq.m. The fires occurred at 5:45 p.m. and 8:30 p.m., respectively. They were quickly eliminated by fire fighters.
Also, a one-story office building and partially balconies and windows of a five-story residential building were damaged as a result of a missile strike on a residential block of Kiev district of Kharkiv.
During the day, the fire equipment of the State Emergency Service eliminated 11 enemy munitions that did not burst.
