Ukraine implements the mechanism of audit of fire and man-made safety
Currently, Ukraine is introducing a mechanism for audit of fire and man-made safety and voluntary insurance for business entities with medium and minor degrees of risk.
A round table was held on this issue with the participation of representatives of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the State Regulatory Service, SE “Infotech” and business.
The introduction of a mechanism for audit of fire and man-made safety in Ukraine will help entrepreneurs to competently assess the level of safety at their facilities and, if necessary, eliminate shortcomings without applying any penalties.
The audit is voluntary and does not entail negative consequences and sanctions. However, it will allow entities with medium and/or minor degrees of risk to initiate an independent audit on their facilities, after which it will be possible to obtain the relevant act and conclude an insurance contract.
Thanks to this, it will be possible to reduce the number of scheduled inspections, increase the period between them and strengthen the guarantees of compensation for damage in case of violation of the requirements of fire and man-made safety by a business. And the specialists of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine will focus more efforts on the challenges related to overcoming the consequences of Russian armed aggression and at the same time will have an understanding of the level of fire and man-made safety at enterprises.
