Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Mary Akopian visited Odessa on a working visit

Military units of the Southern Operational and Territorial Union of the National Guard of Ukraine, stationed in Odessa, were visited by Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Mary Akopian.

Accompanied by the head of the South Odessa Territorial Department of the National State University of Ukraine Major General Oleg Pidlubny, the heads of the National Police and the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Odessa region, the Deputy Minister checked the combat coordination and readiness of the units to perform their assigned tasks. Separately, we considered problematic issues and possibilities of their constructive solution, and also paid attention to the development of canine service.

“Today I inspected the military units of the National Guard of Ukraine of the Odessa garrison. I saw the clear organization of the service and the high motivation of the National Guards. I would also like to note the good interaction between the structures of the system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine. All units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs are ready to fulfill the tasks assigned to them,” said Deputy Minister of the Interior Mary Akopian.

During the working visit, there was also a meeting with the head of the Odessa Regional State Administration Sergey Grinevetsky. The parties agreed to improve housing conditions for the guards, which ensure security in the region, as well as the commissioning of a new DNA laboratory and the allocation of an area for keeping service dogs.

They also discussed the state of affairs, main tasks, issues of organizing cooperation between the structures of the Ministry of Internal Affairs system and state authorities within the framework of regional (local) programs aimed at the implementation of state policy in the law enforcement sphere.
