Odessa put into circulation postage stamps “Inconquerable South” dedicated to border guards
Yesterday in Odessa there was a special redemption of the “Unconquered South” postage stamp dedicated to the guards of the southern borders.
The idea of creating the project belongs to the famous Odessa photo artist Boris Bukhman, Ukrposhta and border guards.
Postage stamps reproduce the images of the guards of the South, which personify the courage and invulnerability of the Ukrainian army in the struggle for the independence of Ukraine.
They symbolize the courage, steadfastness, fearlessness of every Hero Border Guard, who 24/7 stand guard of our state, their strength and power, as well as unconditional faith in the Victory of every Ukrainian.
With the onset of the war, postage stamps became more than just a means of payment for correspondence. They have become Ukraine's weapon in the international arena.
“The stamps are dedicated to our border guards, because from the first days of the war - and not only since February 24, but also since 2014, they were the first to enter into battle with the enemy on the state border. Border guards are real heroes who have successfully completed and perform hundreds and hundreds of combat missions. When I return to Ukraine, and I — a “field worker” — often travel abroad to hold my exhibitions, the first to meet me is our border guards with a smile on their faces. I am very proud of our country. This postal issue is a dedication and a show of gratitude to our defenders, because they — descendants of the Cossacks — adequately pass all the tests that have fallen on the fate of our country!”, - Borys Bukhman stressed.
After the stamp was repaid, guests inspected the exposition of Boris Bukhman's photographs, which he took during the full-scale invasion.
The stamps will be on sale together with the postal set: envelope and cards. The funds received from their sale will be directed to the needs of the defenders of Ukraine.
