In Odessa, the police exposed a group of people who promised a position in the prosecutor's office for 35 thousand dollars
Among the suspects are an inspector of the executive service and a former employee of the prosecutor's office. They received from the “candidate for office” funds that they allegedly had to transfer to the employees of the prosecutor's office.
As established by employees of the Directorate of Strategic Investigations in the Odessa region of the National Police, investigators of the regional police together with the Odessa Regional Prosecutor's Office, an inspector of the executive service of one of the districts and a former employee of the prosecutor's office for money promised citizens to help with employment in law enforcement agencies. In particular, for a position in one of the district prosecutor's offices, they had to pay 35 thousand dollars.
The inspector of the executive service was detained while receiving funds from the “candidate for office” in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The detainee and his accomplice — the former employee of the prosecutor's office — were informed of the suspicion of part 2 of article 15, part 4 of article 27, part 3 of article 369 and part 2 of article 15, part 5 of article 190 (attempt to seize the victim's funds by fraud and incitement to provide illegal benefits) The Criminal Code of Ukraine.
Suspects have chosen preventive measures in the form of detention.
The maximum possible punishment for suspects is imprisonment for up to 10 years.
