This was emphasized by the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Leonid Tymchenko during the inclusion of the “United News” telethon on the air.

“Despite the fact that today no system can be 100% protected from the activities of hackers, as well as from the activities of users who can be used as insiders, we in the Unified System for Video Monitoring of the State of Public Security apply all the necessary security measures when using video surveillance cameras, - said the Deputy Minister. - In addition, we do not use Russian software. Therefore, we are confident in the reliability of the protection of CCTV cameras used today in Ukraine.”

He also added that the users of the Unified System for Video Monitoring of the State of Public Security are clearly defined. They, in addition to functionality and rights, have responsibilities, they are warned about responsibility for the leak of such information - from disciplinary to criminal.

In addition, Leonid Tymchenko said that primarily the video monitoring system is an analytical tool for ensuring public safety and law order:

“Such an integration platform has already been created on the basis of the National Police of Ukraine. However, we need to expand its functionality even more. The upper level should be established on the basis of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine. To this platform will be connected video surveillance cameras, which today are on highways of state importance, in places of large crowds of people, as well as those cameras that are connected to the municipal systems “Safe City”.
