The State Emergency Service told how to protect windows from a shock wave
The enemy does not stop and terrorizes the civilian population of Ukraine on a daily basis. To protect yourself from injuries due to damage to windows, you can use a proven method.
It is very important to prepare housing for possible explosions. To do this, the windows can be glued with tape or cloth - so they will become more resistant to the shock wave. Everyone already understands that the shock wave from the explosion can break the windows in the house, and glass fragments can injure people.
However, such simple and basic safety measures can prevent injuries and sometimes save lives.
The photo shows 2 windows of a residential building in Odessa, where an explosive wave, due to a missile strike, knocked out the windows at the height of all 17 floors. However, those that were sealed survived.
