A new service appeared in Action - exchange and renewal of a driver's license
Today, May 23, the driver's license exchange and renewal service became available in Action. With the launch of this service, Ukraine became the first country in Europe where you can refuse a physical driver's license form and produce only a digital document.
Electronic ID is valid throughout the territory of Ukraine. From now on, it is possible to apply for the replacement of your driver via the application in a few clicks. You can order both a physical plastic document and pick it up at the service center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in person, as well as an E-certificate, which is exclusively digital and valid on the territory of Ukraine.
The exchange of a driver's license is relevant when:
• the validity of the document available to the driver has expired; • the inscriptions on the form have faded and are not readable;
• the driver has changed personal data (surname, first name, patronymic, gender);
• at the request of the owner, replace the old certificate with a new one.
Renewal of a driver's license is required when:
• the driver's license was lost or destroyed; • the document was stolen, etc.
The e-card has its own series and numbers, just like the physical driver's license forms that everyone is used to. Ukrainian drivers received an additional option in the use of electronic documents. You can not pay the cost of letterhead products.
To apply for the exchange or renewal of a driver's license in Action:
• go to the “Services” menu and click “Replace driver's license” or click on the context menu icon on the digital driver and select “Replace ID”;
• select the reason for the replacement of the document; • confirm or specify the place of registration; • select the type of certificate: digital (e-ID) or plastic +digital (normal format);
• select the service center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, where it will be convenient for you to pick up a plastic document;
• confirm or specify your contact details; •
sign the application;
• pay for the service.
After submitting an application for the exchange or renewal of a driver's license within 10 minutes, it is worth paying for the service, otherwise the application is canceled.
The service is provided by the Ministry of Digital Transformation together with the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Main Service Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and with the support of SE “Infotech”.
