Evaders and intruders continue to violate the procedure for crossing the state border: police announce suspicions (VIDEO)
In Bukovina, the chief inspector of the checkpoint received suspicion. The customs officer organized a scheme to extort and obtain illegal benefits from persons crossing the border for the unhindered import of goods from EU countries without conducting inspections.
Officials of one of the state checkpoints on the border with Romania have established a scheme for systematic receipt of bribes. For the amount of 50 to 300 euros, customs officers did not inspect the contents of the cargo parcels of individuals and carriers who crossed the border during the work shift of those involved. The size of the bribe depended on the volume and type of goods.
During the investigation, law enforcement officers documented several facts of receiving bribes by the border checkpoint inspector. Law enforcement officers conducted searches of the places of residence and in the vehicles of the defendant, as a result of which they found cash received as an illegal benefit.
Currently, the customs officer has been informed of the suspicion under Part 1 of Art. 368 (Acceptance of an offer, promise or receipt of an illegal benefit by an official) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
Evaders and evaders continue to try to leave the country illegally. Almost every day, police officers with other units of the Defense Forces record offenders at the border.
Recently, investigators reported on suspicion of a Kiev citizen who helped evade mobilization and travel abroad to men on forged documents.
Among the “schemes” used by the attackers is the provision of fictitious birth certificates of children. Therefore, men who wanted to leave the country instantly became parents of large children and were not subject to mobilization. Such a service cost about 10 thousand US dollars. Police have now declared a suspect to one of the members of the criminal group.
In addition, the defendants provided “parents” with detailed instructions on how to behave and correctly answer questions during communication with border guards. One of the attackers was detained by law enforcement officers while receiving part of the agreed amount.
The police conducted a number of authorized searches, during which they seized physical evidence indicating the criminal activity of the defendant.
Investigators of the department of the organization for the investigation of crimes committed in the conditions of armed conflict of the Civil Service of the National Police announced the 38-year-old Kiev man of suspicion. He is charged with committing the crime provided for in Part 3 of Art. 332 (assisting in the illegal transportation of persons across the state border of Ukraine by providing means, advice and instructions, for selfish motives) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The sanction of the article provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment for a term of seven to nine years with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for a period of up to three years with the confiscation of property.
