Attention! Ice on the roads
Today in the afternoon, temperatures are expected to decrease in the western, northern and northeastern regions. Ice may occur on the roads. In Kiev until the end of the day - fog, visibility 200-500 m. On November 30, ice can also be in the western, northern, most central and Kharkiv regions.
We ask citizens to leave their cars at home or wait until utilities prepare the road for safe movement. If it is not possible to postpone the trip, follow the basic safety rules:
- before leaving, check the serviceability of the brakes, lighting fixtures and cleaning elements of the machine;
- keep a safe speed and distance while driving, avoid sudden braking and maneuvering;
- when approaching pedestrian crossings, slow down to a minimum.
Pedestrians are also encouraged to be as cautious and cautious as possible:
- keep at a distance of 3-5 meters from buildings and structures, from where icicles or melted snow can fall;
- wear shoes that do not slip. You can wear ice shoes or use folk methods of preparing shoes for ice;
- Wear reflective flares, stop in front of ground crossings to make sure drivers see and miss you.
These simple, but such necessary rules can save the life and health of you and the people nearby! Life is our greatest value, but we must have time to solve everyday affairs!
