“We are all of the same courage and each of us is able to knock the enemy out of our country,” - border guard “Khmel”
“Hops” from the military dynasty. From childhood, he dreamed of becoming an officer, like his father, grandfather and great-grandfather, who commanded a division of missile troops during World War II.
Already at that time, the young guy understood that protecting his family and Motherland is the duty of every man.
In 2014, due to the invasion of the Russian Federation into the territory of Ukraine and the annexation of Crimea, Khmel decided to combine his life with the protection of state borders.
“On February 23, nothing foreshadowed trouble, we had a pre-holiday evening on the occasion of my father's 50th birthday, and on the morning of the 24th we woke up to the sounds of explosions and from calls from relatives and acquaintances with the news that the war had begun. There was no time to hesitate, I gathered my things and went to the unit. However, the mother and grandmother were the most worried, but soon the women
focused their anxieties on helping the military and civilians who were left without homes and food,” says Khmel.
“Hmel” is a brave, young officer who, with his determination and confidence, demonstrates to his comrades every day that in this war we are all of the same courage and each of us is capable of knocking out the enemy from every centimeter of our country.
Recently, at dawn, during the next Russian terror of Ukraine with kamikaze drones, he and his comrades managed to destroy one of them with small arms, which was approaching Odessa region.
After the Victory “Khmel” dreams of creating his family, combining his life with his beloved girl, who is waiting for him at home, working tirelessly with his brothers, taking care of his parents. But the most important dream of the guy is that never in his life will any of the future generations of Ukrainians feel and know what war is.
“I know very clearly that each of us is now doing everything possible to ensure that our parents and children live in a free, flourishing country and never fear anything. I know and believe our invulnerable people will overcome all trials and will win!
Everything will definitely be Ukraine!”
