The government has changed the procedure for passing exams and obtaining a driver's license at the Service Centers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs
On May 10, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine adopted a resolution “On Amendments to Certain Decisions of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine on the theoretical and practical training, retraining and training of drivers of vehicles”.
The regulatory act provides for:
⁃ The division of training in a driving school (educational institution) into two stages, which will provide:
1) theoretical training, according to the results of which the institution will issue the student an appropriate certificate, which will be valid for one year;
2) practical driving of a vehicle, as a result of which the institution will issue the student a certificate of completion of practical training, which will be valid for two years.
⁃ Possibility to issue a driver's license and pass exams at any service center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs to persons who have expired the term of deprivation of the right to drive (currently a person deprived of the right to drive passes exams and receives a driver's license after deprivation of the right to drive at the service center at the place of registration).
⁃ Admission to training in practical driving of vehicles only after successfully passing the theoretical exam in the service center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
• At the request of the person, practical training can be carried out in any institution, regardless of the institution in which the person received the theoretical training.
⁃ Cancellation of the internal theoretical exam in the institution (driving school). After passing the theoretical training, only the internal practical exam will be taken after the completion of the practical training.
⁃ The possibility of passing a practical exam in any territorial service center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, regardless of the territorial service center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, where the theoretical exam was passed.
⁃ Possibility to obtain paid license plates for ALL vehicles (currently the issuance of paid NZ is carried out exclusively for passenger cars).
