The government approved an experimental project for issuing ID-card and passport for citizens of Ukraine who are abroad
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine adopted Resolution No. 678 of June 10, 2022, which approved the Procedure for the implementation of an experimental project on registration of a passport of a citizen of Ukraine and a passport of a citizen of Ukraine for traveling abroad for citizens of Ukraine who are outside Ukraine.
The experimental project provides that the acceptance of documents for registration of a passport of a citizen of Ukraine and a passport of a citizen of Ukraine for traveling abroad to citizens of Ukraine who are outside our country will be carried out by a separate division of the state enterprise “Document”, which belongs to the sphere of management of the State Health Service of Ukraine and is an administration Registrar of the Unified State Demographic Register. The list of states in which documents for registration of passports of a citizen of Ukraine will be carried out will be determined by the State Tax Service of Ukraine in agreement with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The resolution enters into force 15 days from the date of its publication. The implementation of the project, proposed by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the State Migration Service, will take place within two years.
