The government has established a quota of immigration of foreigners and stateless persons to Ukraine for 2022
Today, on January 19, 2022, at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, the order “On setting the immigration quota for 2022” was adopted, it amounts to 8488 people.
This decision was made in order to settle the maximum number of foreigners and stateless persons who are supposed to be granted an immigration permit within the immigration quota during the current year.
The categories of immigrants to whom a permanent residence permit is granted in Ukraine within the limits of the immigration quota established by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, in particular, include:
- scientific and cultural figures whose immigration corresponds to the interests of Ukraine;
- highly qualified specialists and workers, the urgent need for which is palpable for the Ukrainian economy;
- persons who have made a foreign investment in the economy of Ukraine in foreign convertible currency in the amount of at least 100 thousand US dollars;
- persons who are full brothers or sisters, grandfather or grandmother, grandson or grandchild of citizens of Ukraine; parents, husband (wife) of an immigrant and his minor children, etc.
The adoption of the order of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine “On the establishment of an immigration quota for 2022” will contribute to the settlement of the maximum number of foreigners and stateless persons who will be able to obtain a permanent residence permit in Ukraine within the framework of the immigration quota in 2022 in the bodies and units of the State Tax Service.
The immigration quota approved by the Government order is formed according to the categories of immigrants and in the context of the regions of the state, in accordance with the proposals of the central and local executive authorities, which are based on the results of the analysis of the immigration process in the previous calendar year.
