The government has formed a territorial body of the State Migration Service — Southern Interregional Department of the SMS
Today, February 9, at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, a decision was made on the formation of a territorial body of the State Migration Service — the Southern Interregional Department of the State Migration Service, located in the city. Odessa, and the territorial bodies of the DMS were liquidated — the Main Department of the State Health Service in the Odessa region and the Department of the State DMS in the city. Sevastopol.
The creation of an interregional territorial body of the State Migration Service will optimize administrative decision-making, in particular regarding the provision of administrative services to citizens of Ukraine, foreigners and stateless persons residing in the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol.
The functioning of the Southern Interregional Department of the State Migration Service of Ukraine will ensure the implementation of the state policy in the fields of migration (immigration and emigration), including the fight against illegal migration, citizenship, registration of individuals, refugees and other categories of migrants defined by law on the restoration of territorial integrity and reintegration of the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol. This, in turn, will contribute to the realization of the long-term priority “Reintegration of the temporarily occupied territories and population into a single constitutional space of Ukraine, restoration of rights and freedoms of Ukrainian citizens who suffered as a result of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation”.
