The government has adjusted the terminology of information and communication systems in accordance with the legislation
Today, February 23, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine at its meeting adopted amendments to some resolutions in accordance with the Law of Ukraine “On Electronic Communications” prepared by the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
In 2020, the Law of Ukraine “On Electronic Communications” was launched in Ukraine, which is aimed at relations in the spheres of electronic communications and radio frequency spectrum regarding the provision and receipt of electronic communication services, supply and access to electronic communication networks, as well as on the use of radio frequency spectrum, numbering resources and protection of the rights of these users services.
The key is to change the term “Information and Telecommunication Systems” to “Information and Communication Systems”, which more terminologically defines the main functions and tasks of the authorities.
These changes will provide an opportunity to bring into line the terminology used in regulatory acts of state authorities. The changes will affect key Ministries and departments, in particular: the Ministry of Digital Affairs, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the State Service of Special Communications and Information Protection, among others.
