The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has simplified the procedure for training and obtaining a driver's license in the Service Centers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. This took place at a meeting of the Government on May 10. The Cabinet of Ministers adopted a resolution “On training of drivers and state registration of vehicles during the period of martial law in Ukraine”.

The regulatory act aims to ensure:

- The opportunity for citizens who moved temporarily to another place (region) to pass a practical exam in any service center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, regardless of which service center the theoretical exam was passed.

- Possibility to carry out training on theoretical training of persons undergoing training, retraining and further training of drivers of vehicles using information and communication means (Zoom, Skype, Google meet, etc.).

- The ability of citizens who moved temporarily to another place (region) to obtain a driver's license in any service center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, regardless of the place of theoretical and/or practical exams.

- Reducing the period of training for future drivers in categories B (passenger cars) and C1, C, C1E, SE (trucks with a trailer) by reducing the theoretical part by 20% (by compacting the teaching of such topics as “Construction and maintenance of vehicles”, “vehicle driver ethics”, etc.).

- The ability to return the certificate of registration of the vehicle, issued at the request of its owner in the name of the person traveling abroad, within ten days from the date of the return of this person from abroad to any SC of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

“With the relevant regulations, we strengthen the legal and institutional foundations for the provision of quality administrative services by service centers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The conditions of martial law are not an obstacle to ensuring systemic improvements in the work of the Central Committee of the Ministry of Internal Affairs,” said Deputy Minister Bohdan Drapyaty.
