The government lifted restrictions on the terms of temporary stay on the territory of Ukraine for accredited representatives of foreign media
On May 27, 2022, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine adopted Resolution No. 627 “Some issues of stay on the territory of Ukraine of foreigners and stateless persons who arrived in Ukraine to work as a correspondent or representative of foreign media”.
The resolution stipulates that for the period of martial law and for 30 days after its abolition or termination, foreigners and stateless persons who have arrived in Ukraine to work as correspondents or representatives of foreign media shall not be subject to restrictions* on the terms of temporary stay in Ukraine. To do this, foreign journalists will need to undergo accreditation of media representatives in the prescribed manner during the legal regime of martial law.
In accordance with the adopted resolution, the Ministry of Defense will constantly inform the Administration of the State Border Service and the State Migration Service about representatives of the media who have been accredited in the prescribed manner.
