The Government adopted the draft Decree of the President of Ukraine on the termination of border cooperation of Ukraine with Russia and Belarus
The relevant decision today, March 28, was adopted by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine. It provides for the approval of the draft Decree of the President of Ukraine on the termination of the Agreement between Ukraine and the Russian Federation on cooperation and cooperation on border issues and the withdrawal of Ukraine from the Memorandum of Cooperation in the Protection of State Borders of the Republic of Belarus, the Russian Federation and Ukraine.
The Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Igor Klymenko reported the need for such a decision at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers.
In particular, he noted that the termination of international treaties of Ukraine occurs in accordance with the provisions of the Vienna Convention on the Law of International Treaties and the Law of Ukraine “On International Treaties of Ukraine”, due to a radical change in circumstances and systematic non-fulfillment by the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus of their international obligations in relations with Ukraine Nana.
“The adoption of such a Decree will allow the Ukrainian side to fulfill the internal procedures necessary for the termination of the said Agreement and Memorandum,” Ihor Klymenko summed up.
