The Government adopted a draft resolution on amendments to the procedure for granting and depriving the status of a participant in hostilities of persons who participated in ATO
Today, July 18, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine adopted a draft resolution “On amending paragraph 4 of the Procedure for granting and depriving the status of a participant in hostilities of persons who defended the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine and took direct part in the anti-terrorist operation, ensuring its implementation or in the implementation of measures to ensure national security and defense, to repel and deter the armed aggression of the Russian Federation in the Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts, to ensure their implementation, in the measures necessary for ensuring the defense of Ukraine, protecting the security of the population and the interests of the state in connection with the military aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine”.
As noted by the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Igor Klymenko, the document was developed in connection with the need to settle the issue of granting the status of a participant in hostilities to persons of ordinary and senior staff of the civil protection service who participated in the activities necessary to ensure the defense of Ukraine, the protection of the population and the interests of the state in connection with the military the aggression of the Russian Federation.
He stressed that the adoption of the draft resolution will ensure the realization of the right guaranteed by law for these persons to obtain the status of a participant in hostilities.
