The government adopted a resolution on improving the procedure for passing mandatory technical control
The relevant decision was adopted by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine at a meeting on May 19.
It is about the Government Resolution “On Amendments to the Decisions of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 137 of January 30, 2012 and of May 31, 2012. № 512”.
Therefore, an electronic form of the protocol for checking the technical condition of the vehicle has been introduced. At the same time, if necessary, with the possibility of printing a paper copy of the protocol. However, printing the protocol is possible only on the form of the established sample, the cost of which is paid by the entity.
Also, the scope of checking the technical condition of vehicles has been updated, video recording of the process of mandatory technical control of vehicles has been introduced.
It should be noted that state authorities, local governments, individuals and legal entities will be able to receive video materials from the OTC subject upon relevant requests.
Selective viewing of video recording materials will make it impossible for OTC subjects to carry out fictitious checks of technical condition, and this will significantly affect the strengthening of road safety.
In addition, the resolution provides for the implementation into national law of the requirements for the scope of the technical inspection of vehicles, which are defined in Directive 2014/45/EU of 3 April 2014 “On periodic fitness tests for motor vehicles and their trailers”.
