As part of international cooperation, Ukrainian rescuers received from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Finland an armored mobile housing container. In the future, it is planned to transfer 10 such residential modules for the needs of the State Emergency Service.

Today, January 09, Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Denis Monastyrsky held a working meeting with the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Finland Krista Mikkonen, during which he discussed the directions of cooperation between the two departments.

“We discussed the humanitarian mission, in particular, the evacuation of citizens, the issue of humanitarian demining. We receive a lot of help from our international colleagues, especially for our pyrotechnicians. In addition, Finland has sheltered more than 45 thousand citizens of Ukraine, and is now working to additionally accept people from the Baltic countries in order to provide them with shelter. We are now receiving armored containers for personnel of pyrotechnics who will work in the hottest spots and in de-occupied areas for timely demining and enabling people to return to their homes more quickly. I am grateful for the attention, the help that we have been receiving for almost a year,” said Denis Monastyrsky.

At the same time, the parties discussed the provision of further assistance in the form of special robots for demining and robotic equipment for firefighting.
