A unique icon was received by the border guards of the southern borders
The other day, the border guards received a unique icon. Its uniqueness lies in the fact that it was written for the guards of the southern borders by the artist Andrei Kholomenyuk.
The consecration of the icon of the Guardian Angel took place in the St. Michael's Golden-Domed Cathedral in Kiev by Metropolitan of Kiev and All Ukraine, Primate of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine, His Beatitude Epiphany.
After the church ceremony, a solemn musical prayer was held dedicated to the soldiers of Ukraine performed by the Kyiv-Classic Chamber Ensemble and conductor of the People's Artist of Ukraine Herman Makarenko.
“When our hands are raised to the sky in prayer for those who defend our land every day, every minute from the occupier, choosing for us, Ukrainians, peace, freedom and a peaceful future, our warriors spread their wings. Their strength and power is insurmountable for the Horde,” said Yuriy Kharchenko, head of the military chaplaincy service organization sector.
Also during the solemn ceremony, the best military chaplains were awarded the honors of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine.
