Ukrainian passport entered the top 30 most influential in the world
The Ukrainian passport immediately climbed 4 steps and took the 30th position in the international ranking of the most influential passports in the world The Henley Passport Index. It currently shares this place with Grenada and Saint Lucia.
The consulting company Henley & Partners generates a rating according to the number of partner countries with a visa-free regime in a particular state. One position can be occupied by several countries at once.
Despite more than a year of full-scale war with the Russian Federation, Ukrainians got the opportunity to travel to three more countries - Djibouti, Israel and Suriname within the framework of visa-free travel. Thus, citizens of Ukraine, having a biometric passport, can visit 146 countries of the world without a visa or with a visa upon arrival.
Last year, Ukraine ranked 35th in the Henley & Partners ranking. The highest indicator for the Ukrainian passport in recent times was 2021 — 31st position.
