Ukrainian and Polish border guards continue to work on improving the protection of the common border section
Recently, the head of the Lviv Border Guard held meetings with the heads of the Nadbuzhansky and Beschada departments of the Border Guard of the Republic of Poland.
Ukrainian and Polish border guards evaluated the protection of the common area and the results of the activities, summed up the results of border cooperation, in particular, on measures to ensure transit operations in the face of increased passenger traffic on the Ukrainian-Polish border due to the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine.
After discussing a number of topical issues, law enforcement officers determined the main directions of further cooperation and tasks for the next period. In particular, the parties agreed to further improve the security of the common area, effectively counter crime at the border and speed up control procedures at checkpoints.
At the end of the meetings, Ukrainian border guards thanked their Polish colleagues for fruitful cooperation and comprehensive assistance in such a difficult time for the country.
