Ukrainian and Lithuanian border guards will increase bilateral cooperation

In Kyiv there was a meeting of the heads of the border departments of Ukraine Major General Serhiy Deineko and General Rustamas Lyubayevas of the Republic of Lithuania.

During the meeting, the delegation of border agencies discussed the issue of cooperation, taking into account the fact that due to the brutal armed aggression of the Russian Federation, Ukraine is facing the largest military invasion in Europe since the Second World War.

To support Ukrainian colleagues, representatives of the State Border Service of the Republic of Lithuania brought with them topical assistance: generators, anti-drone systems, thermal underwear, medical equipment, etc.

During the meeting, Serhiy Deineko thanked Lithuanian colleagues for their constant and determined support, as well as for their directed assistance and expressed readiness to further strengthen and develop cooperation.

Ukrainian border guards familiarized Lithuanian colleagues with the situation on the line of contact, interaction with other components of the Security and Defense Forces, the situation in the border areas, where the restoration of control over the state border is underway.

The issues of further development of cooperation between the Parties were discussed taking into account Ukraine's course on European and Euro-Atlantic integration.
