Ukrainian rescuers go to Slovenia to cope with the consequences of massive flooding
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky signed a Decree on the provision of humanitarian assistance to Slovenia due to the emergency situation caused by the flood.
Therefore, more than 50 specialists of the State Emergency Service and 19 units of equipment went to the country.
“We know from our experience what a disaster high water can cause. Specialists who took part in the elimination of the consequences of the destruction of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant - the largest man-made disaster in Europe in recent years, as part of the combined unit of the State Emergency Service will help European colleagues to minimize the impact of the elements on the country's population. We also attract specialized machinery and equipment,” the State Emergency Service said.
