Ukrainian border guards help our citizens at Estonian checkpoints
At the end of last week, a group of Ukrainian border guards began work at several checkpoints in Estonia. Such cooperation between the State Border Service of Ukraine and the Estonian Police and Border Protection Department under the auspices of the European agency FRONTEX will allow better assistance to Ukrainian citizens who follow in this direction to EU countries.
At these checkpoints, located on the border of Estonia with the Russian Federation, Ukrainian border guards will share experience with Estonian colleagues in identifying Ukrainian citizens who are forced to flee the war through the territory of the aggressor country, or have been forcibly deported to Russia.
The State Border Guard Service of Ukraine cares about every citizen of our country and does everything possible to help Ukrainians who find themselves in a difficult situation due to the brutal war that the Russian Federation has unleashed on the sovereign territory of Ukraine.
According to preliminary agreements, the mission of Ukrainian border guards at the checkpoints in Estonia will work for a month. Based on the results of the work, border control specialists will analyze the effectiveness of the assistance provided and make an appropriate decision on whether to continue or terminate the work of the group.
