The Ukrainian diaspora is ready to join projects and assistance that will bring our victory closer
In Kyiv, Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Mary Akopyan met with the representative delegation of the World Congress of Ukrainians, headed by its first vice president Stefan Romanov. The meeting was also attended by the head of the UNITE with Ukraine initiative Andriy Potichny and the Director of the Congress Representation in Ukraine Serhiy Kasyanchuk.
It is known that from the very beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the Ukrainian diaspora has focused its diverse capabilities, influence and resources on helping our state in both military and humanitarian components.
The parties discussed priorities in partnership assistance, which the system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine urgently needs at the moment. It was about the formation and saturation of all the necessary Points of Inviolability, as well as strengthening the capacities of the components of the department for humanitarian demining. Also, representatives of Congress should examine their capabilities to assist in technical improvement of strategic communications of the domestic Ministry of Internal Affairs and its components.
Mary Akopian informed the diaspora about how international donor assistance of various formats is used in the system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
“Thank you for your willingness to help our country. The situation is changing, so with the partners we need to constantly keep each other informed in order to respond flexibly to the challenges that war throws at us every time. It is always necessary to understand what is most important right now,” the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine noted during the meeting.
On the contrary, Stefan Romanov assured that the Ukrainian diaspora not only morally and emotionally sympathizes with our state, which is fighting hard for its will and independence, but is also ready to join projects and assistance that will bring closer and accelerate the Ukrainian Victory we all expect.
