Ukrainians are allowed to pass a theoretical exam without training in a driving school
From today, future drivers can pass a theoretical exam in the service center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs without training in a driving school. Previously, candidates for driving had to undergo a theoretical part of training at an accredited educational institution. And now they have the choice of either preparing for the theoretical exam on their own, or mastering training in a driving school.
It will also be possible to pass a theoretical exam in the Centers for the provision of administrative services. To do this, you need to re-sign the agreed solutions with the service centers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. To pass theoretical exams, administrative service centers must be equipped with appropriate technical means of control using photo, video and audio fixation.
Individuals who decide to master the theoretical material on their own can use printed or electronic educational literature or teach the rules of the road according to the topics of a typical curriculum.
Future drivers can use a useful online traffic simulator on the website of the Main Service Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. It reflects all the questions that will be on the theoretical exam.
To pass the theoretical exam, you need to answer 20 questions in 20 minutes. During the test, 2 errors are allowed, if more - the exam is not passed. The next attempt will be possible no earlier than in 10 days. This time is allocated so that the driver candidate can prepare better. Future drivers have an unlimited number of attempts to pass a theoretical exam.
To pass the test, future drivers contact any convenient service center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. They must receive an admission ticket through the e-recording functionality or through the terminal of the service center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
They must take the following package of documents with them:
- passport of a citizen of Ukraine with a mark on the place of registration or ID card or passport of a citizen of Ukraine for traveling abroad (provided together with a certificate of residence);
- medical certificate confirming admission to drive a vehicle of the selected category;
- identification number;
- an existing driver's license (in case of obtaining the right to drive vehicles of another category).
The person must inform the administrator of the service center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs that he has independently mastered the theoretical training material for the corresponding category of vehicle. The cost of passing a theoretical exam costs 13 UAH.
In case of successful passing of the theoretical part of the exam, future drivers apply to any accredited educational institution and begin practical training. After successfully passing the practical exam in the driving school, the person passes the exam at the service center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and receives a driver's license.
