Ukrainians can simultaneously issue passport documents for themselves and children
For almost a year now, an experimental project implemented by the State Migration Service has been in operation in Ukraine on simultaneous registration, exchange of a passport of a citizen of Ukraine and a passport for traveling abroad.
Today, more than 300 thousand Ukrainians have been able to use this service, which greatly simplifies the possibility of obtaining passport documents.
However, the DMS team does not stop there and expands the possibilities of this experimental project.
Since the simultaneous issuance of passport documents has become a fairly popular service among Ukrainians, from now on, in addition to the simultaneous issuance of ID-card and international passport, parents/legal representatives will be able to simultaneously issue passports for traveling abroad also for children under 14 years of age.
So now, in one visit, one parent can:
— simultaneously issue an ID card and a passport for traveling abroad for yourself;
— simultaneously issue an ID card and a passport, as well as a passport for your child under 14 years of age.
To obtain such a service, it is necessary for one of the parents (adoptive parents), guardians, guardians or other legal representatives of a person who has not reached the age of 14 or a person who is recognized by the court as limitedly capable or incapacitated, to submit an application and relevant documents to the DMS unit, the service center “Passport “in Ukraine or abroad or in the ASAP.
Pay attention! If the child who is issued a passport is 12 years old, her presence during the submission of documents is mandatory!
