From May 15, 2023, parents or legal representatives can simultaneously issue passports for travel abroad for themselves and children under 14 years of age.

This service has already been used by Ms. Marina, a resident of Chernihiv, who, together with her 13-year-old daughter, only recently received Ukrainian citizenship. The woman came to Chernihiv from abroad 14 years ago and decided to stay here.

During the visit to the migration service, she submitted documents for an ID card and passport for traveling abroad for herself, as well as a passport for her child.

At the same time, she issued documents for herself and her sons and Mrs. Elena from Donetsk region. The woman, along with her children, came to Cherkassy from the front-line Slavyansk, in the area of which active fighting is currently taking place.

The other day she visited the UDMS in the Cherkasy region to issue documents. Since Elena's son was already 12 years old, his presence in the unit at the time of application was mandatory.

It should be noted that recently you can get a service for simultaneous registration of passport documents for yourself and children in any department of the State Migration Service of Ukraine.

To do this, it is necessary for one of the parents/legal representatives of a person who has not reached the age of 14 or a person who is recognized by the court as limitedly capable or incapacitated to submit an application and relevant documents to the DMS department, service center “Passport Service” in Ukraine or abroad or to the ASAP.
