Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation in Ukraine, the Republic of Finland has been constantly providing technical support for our state, including for the State Emergency Service. In particular, rescuers received armored sheltering containers to protect personnel, vehicles, emergency and rescue equipment, protective clothing.
In addition, Finland took an active part in the modernization of the hydrometeorological capabilities of the SNS. Cooperation between the Ukrainian Rescue Service and the Rescue Services of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Finland, led by Director General Kimmo Kochvakka, who personally visited the SNS at the end of this summer, was also strengthened.
Recall that the other day the International Committee of the Red Cross handed over equipment and computer equipment for a mobile class on mine safety to Kherson rescuers, thanks to which the employees of the State Emergency Service will be able to continue information work on mine safety, which will help save the lives of the inhabitants of the Kherson region.
