Improvement of DMS administrative services: “single window” and simplification of procedures for displaced persons
In Ukraine, we simplified the procedure for providing administrative services to internally displaced persons, regardless of their place of residence, and improved the procedure for issuing an ID card upon reaching the 14th anniversary. The relevant changes were adopted by the Government with the active participation of the State Migration Service of Ukraine, said the head of the department Natalia Naumenko.
Presenting a public report on the results of the State Migration Service of Ukraine in 2021, the head of the State Migration Service of Ukraine spoke about a number of novelties in the legislation.
“The State Migration Service initiated amendments to the Cabinet Resolution No. 302, which approved the procedure for issuing a passport of a citizen of Ukraine. These changes provide an opportunity to submit documents and obtain a passport in any city — not at the place of registration, but at the place of application,” said the head of the DMS.
According to her, these changes are designed to make life easier for people who come to the controlled territories of Ukraine from the temporarily occupied territories, or those who have received the status of internally displaced persons. It should be noted that for registration of a passport, such persons can apply both to any territorial body of the subdivision of the State Migration Service, as well as to the nearest branch of the State Enterprise “Document” or the Center for the provision of administrative services.
Another normative innovation, which has already received positive feedback from the public, concerns the issuance of an ID card upon reaching the 14th anniversary. From now on, fourteen-year-old Ukrainians can receive a taxpayer card at the same time as an ID card without visiting the State Tax Service separately.
“This means that there is already, in fact, a “single window”: you do not have to go through different instances to obtain different administrative services. They can be obtained quickly and comfortably in one place”, — emphasized Natalia Naumenko.
