#UAразом: KHNUVS held an athletics race
Within the framework of the “Ukraine One” events, an athletics race was held at the training complex of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs “Dynamo-Arena” in support of the sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity of Ukraine. It brought together more than thousands of cadets, students and employees of the Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, the National Academy of the National Guard of Ukraine and the National University of Civil Defense of Ukraine.
The event began with the performance of the National Anthem of Ukraine and the raising of the State Flag of Ukraine. The right to raise it was entrusted to the best athletes of the university: candidate of masters of sports in polyathlon Victoria Golub, candidate of masters of sports in sambo wrestling Georgy Ivchenko, candidate of masters of sports in weightlifting Alexey Medintsev, prizewinners the championship of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in athletics Evgenia Suprun.
The participants of the event were congratulated by the rector of the university, police general of the third rank Valery Sokurenko. He noted that today representatives of three higher education institutions subordinate to the Ministry of Internal Affairs take part in the athletics race. “I am convinced that physical training, readiness for service is the key to your success, career achievements,” said Valery Sokurenko. “Today is not an easy time for Ukraine, and we must show the whole world that we are the only ones, that we have not forgotten the words of the Oath made to the Ukrainian people. And today's athletics run only confirms that Ukrainians are not amenable to trials and difficulties. Serve and learn so that you will be respected by men and protected by the Lord God.”
Valery Sokurenko wished everyone a good mood, inspiration and sportsmanship.
