Pyrotechnics found 200 artillery shells from World War II in Zolotonosha
On October 11, the Emergency Management Center received a notification that 3 explosive objects were found during the earthworks. They turned out to be 152-millimeter artillery pieces from the Second World War.
During an additional survey of the site, pyrotechnic calculation of the special purpose emergency and rescue unit, more than a hundred explosive objects of various calibers were found.
In total, the SNS sappers seized 200 artillery shells of the Second World War. Work on the survey of the territory continues.
In total, during the day, the pyrotechnic units of the State Emergency Service were involved 152 times, 600 explosive objects were detected, removed and neutralized, and an area of 395 hectares was surveyed.
Most often, pyrotechnic units worked: 23 thousand in the Kharkiv region. 688, Kyiv region — 8 thousand 994, Donetsk region — 8 thousand 482, Mykolaiv region — 6 thousand 212, Kherson region — 8 thousand 237, Chernihiv region — 5 thousand 018, Sumy region — 2 thousand 592, Cherkasy region — 1 thousand 334.
Since the beginning of the large-scale military invasion of the Russian Federation on the territory of Ukraine, 441 thousand 950 explosive objects and 2 thousand 892 kg of explosives have been defused, including 3 thousand 105 aircraft bombs. The area of more than 102 thousand 517 hectares was surveyed.
