Police seized drugs and psychotropics for UAH 1.5 million from a drug dealer detained in Zaporizhzhia
A 33-year-old resident of the regional center ordered goods on one of the telegram channels and received it through post offices. Packed it up in his own garage and sold it as a drug addict. For committing criminal acts, he faces up to 12 years in prison with confiscation of property.
Employees of the Drug Crime Control Department in the Zaporizhzhya region of the National Police of Ukraine received information that a 33-year-old local resident is engaged in illegal drug sales.
UBN officers together with investigators of the police department №3 of the Zaporizhzhya district administration under the procedural guidance of the Shevchenko district prosecutor's office detained a drug dealer on one of the streets of Zaporizhia. On a superficial examination, the man found more than a kilogram of a psychotropic substance - amphetamine.
It was established that the defendant cooperates with a telegram channel for the sale of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances. He received orders in large batches by mail, and then sold throughout Ukraine.
On the same day, during an emergency search in the garage of the defendant, about 300 grams of psychotropic substance “alpha-PVP”, 200 grams of amphetamine, about 300 grams of elite cannabis, “cones” and printed TTN with the data of the recipients were seized.
Everything seized is sent to an expert institution to conduct appropriate research. The estimated cost of seized prohibited substances at “black market” prices is about one and a half million hryvnias.
The defendant was detained on the basis of Art. 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. He was chosen for a precautionary measure - arrest for 60 days with the right to make a bail in the amount of 536 thousand hryvnias.
The offender is notified of the suspicion of committing an offense provided for in Part 3 of Art. 307 (Illegal production, manufacture, acquisition, storage, transportation, shipment or sale of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances or their analogues) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. For his actions, a man faces punishment in the form of imprisonment for a term of nine to twelve years with confiscation of property.
