Another station of community police officers was opened in Zaporizhzhya region
Yesterday, February 18, the police station in the police station No. 4 of the Vasilyevsky district administration in the city of Energodari started work. This is already 25 stations, which were created for a proper safety environment in the communities of Zaporizhzhya region.
Last year, Enerhodar participated in the project of the National Police of Ukraine “Community Police Officer”, which is one of the stages of the reform of the National Police. The main criteria of this direction are to establish effective police interaction with the territorial community in the modern realities of the time and in accordance with the needs of society.
“Enerhodar is one of the first cities in Ukraine and the first city in Zaporizhzhya region to join the implementation of the “Community Police Officer” project. We have taken another step towards positive changes in the organization of law and order and ensuring peace for people. I am confident that after passing serious stages of training, our law enforcement officers with a pure heart will fulfill the duties assigned to them to ensure a safe environment in the territory of the city of Energodar,” said Deputy Chief of Police of Zaporizhzhya region Pavlo Karabuta during the grand opening of the new station.
He also provided four POGs with special equipment — pump guns — for service use.
It should be noted that local authorities have purchased environmentally friendly vehicles for community police officers. Mayor Dmitry Orlov solemnly handed over to the police the keys of two brand new Nissan LEAF service cars. These are the first electric vehicles in Ukraine that will be used by police officers.
Also at the disposal of the police are parking and power for charging cars, a modern service room, in which repair work has already been completed, equipped with the necessary computer equipment and appropriate technical equipment.
The station of police officers of the community of Vasylivsky district police department of the GUNP in Zaporizhzhya region will work in Enerhodar on the street Warriors-Internationalists, 4. Currently, law and order in the city of Energodar with a population of more than 54 thousand citizens is maintained by four police officers: police major Andrey Kibalnikov, police captain Sergey Golik, police lieutenant Mikhail Romanov and police lieutenant Igor Svetlichny Yuriy Yevych. In the future, four more POGs will be involved in the performance of official duties.
