In Zaporizhzhya region, rescuers eliminate the consequences of a missile strike on a hospital

At night, Russian troops launched a missile strike on the Zaporizhzhya region. Thus, on November 23 at 02:25 the Rescue Service “101” received a report of two missiles hitting the maternity ward of the central district hospital of one of the districts of the region.

Arriving at the scene, rescuers began emergency rescue work to search and rescue people.

Employees of the State Emergency Service from under the rubble deblocked the doctor and with the help of a sliding ladder rescued the woman in labor from the second floor, the injured were transferred to medical workers.

As a result of the incident, a newborn child died, whose body was removed from under the rubble.

Currently, rescuers continue emergency and rescue work to dismantle the hospital structures. Volunteers from the Red Cross Society Rapid Response Unit arrived to provide relief. 67 rescuers and 14 units of equipment were recruited from the State Emergency Service.
