In August of this year, the first cycle of implementation of the NATO project on psychological rehabilitation and restoration of psychological resilience and combat capability of servicemen was completed. It started in early July and lasted almost two months. During this time, the military units of the National Guard and the State Border Guard Service held training seminars with soldiers who had received traumatic experiences.

This project is implemented with the support of the NATO Program on the transition from military to civilian, within the framework of the Comprehensive Assistance Package for Ukraine, in response to the request of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.

“Preserving the mental health of the servicemen of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, in particular combatants, is one of the priority areas of our department's work. Psychologists working with fighters use modern developments in this area and introduce international experience. I note that the feedback we receive from the command of military units where the seminars were held are quite positive,” said Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Kateryna Pavlichenko, summing up the results of two months of work on the project.

It should be recalled that the implementation of the project is provided by the NGO “League of Officers”, which from 2014 to 2019 systematically worked in the direction of psychological support of the servicemen of the National Guard of Ukraine and the State Border Service of Ukraine.
