A new police station was opened in the Velykobyshcha terhromada in the Poltava region
The police station is located in the village of Veprik, Mirgorod district, which by number of inhabitants is the largest settlement in the Velykobyshcha community. The modern room is designed for the work of two police officers serving 20 villages.
According to Nikolai Shabliy, the head of the Velykobyshchanska TG, the community has already purchased about fifty video surveillance cameras. The chairman of the terhromada is convinced that the technical resource will help the experienced officers Sergiev Kayoli and Stanislav Shestopalov to effectively perform the functions of maintaining law and order and security in settlements.
Boris Reutov, deputy head of the Poltava region police department, stressed that the creation of additional conditions for community police officers is a progressive step in the field of creating a safe environment for citizens, which is of particular importance in the conditions of martial law.
It should be noted that for the territorial association this is already the second station in two years. The first one started its work in October 2020, in the village of Plishyvets.
