The service center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs explained how the national driver's license differs from the international one
The national driver's license is issued for the first time after passing the exams at the service center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Printed on plastic letterhead.
And the international one is actually an appendix to the national driver's license and is not valid separately from the national one. It is made in the form of a paper book.
All samples of Ukrainian national driver's licenses are now valid on the territory of Ukraine and there is no requirement to change them. But it is possible at will.
As for the international driver's license, it must be changed every 3 years, and it is worth getting it to travel to those countries that are signatories of the Geneva Convention, in particular, Australia, Japan, Canada and India.
