A car with a broken VIN-code was once again found in the service center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kiev
During the re-registration of the IVECO DAILY 35S18 truck, specialists of the Expert Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the capital found the “broken” body numbers of the vehicle. The craftsmen cut out a piece of the car body with the identification number, and in order to hide the rim, they welded a part with the number of another car in this place. When the owner of the truck received the opinion of the experts, he was quite stunned. After all, he sincerely believed that his new acquisition does not have such “surprises”.
The main service center reminds that during the re-registration of a car from one owner to another, an expert examination of the vehicle is a mandatory step before contacting the service center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The same is the process of registration of the contract of sale directly in the GSC institutions. This protects citizens from dubious purchases and saves a lot of time and nerves, because administrators check the car on all available bases and, in case of detection of illegal actions, call the police.
