In “Shegini” the man “played hide and seek” with border guards
Border guards exposed a 23-year-old resident of Ternopil region who paid 5 thousand US dollars for a place in the trunk of a car.
Last night, a Mercedes minibus arrived at the checkpoint “Szeginy” on the way to Poland. During the arrival to pass the control, the border outfit checked the number of persons who followed across the state border, as indicated in the control ticket. However, one less person arrived at passport control.
As it turned out later, the driver of the minibus for a monetary reward agreed to transport a man of conscription age across the border, who has no legal grounds for doing so. The carrier “valued” its services at 5 thousand US dollars. To implement an illegal transfer during the inspection, a 23-year-old resident of Ternopil region hid in the luggage compartment behind the seats and did not provide documents for inspection. However, the border guards still found him.
The person across the border was not allowed and brought to administrative responsibility under Part 1 of Art. 204-1 KupAp. In relation to the carriers, the operational officers of the Lviv Border Patrol sent a message to the National Police, in their actions there are signs of the crime provided for in Art. 332 of the Criminal Code “Illegal transfer of persons across the state border of Ukraine”.
